NASA gets ready to Land space probe on Asteroid Bennu

NASA have been preparing  to launch a space probe to the asteroid Bennu. it will be launched onto the asteroid on 20th October 2020.

Character Profile

Lucinda Character Profile

at the moment we are writing narratives. we had to describe one of our characters from our stories. I chose to do my character Lucinda. she was easyish to do. she had some things that I wasn't sure of.  

 Static Electricity

Another Science experiment we did was Static Electricity. one person had to rub a balloon on their head to see what happens. Lily was my partner again and she rubbed the balloon on her head, her hair stuck up and it was funny! then we had to rub the  balloon on our heads again and put it under the water to see what happened. it didn't work for us but the water is supposed to go sideways!

Parachute Experiment

Another Experiment we did during interchange in science was Parachutes. we had to design and make a parachute for a peg. we had to work in groups of 2 so me and Lily were a pair. we named our peg Janet. we made a circle parachute and attached the string. 

Spinning Water Experiment

For the last six week we were doing Interchange. one of our interchange classes was science. our first experiment was Spinning water. you had to fill a cup halfway with water and then tie 2 pieces of string to the cup. the longer the string the taller you are and the shorter the string the shorter you are. then we had to spin the cup over our heads round and round and magically the water stayed in the cup.

Enlargement

For maths we had to do enlargements. first we had to find a cartoon character and put it in a grid template. i chose to do Bubbles from the power puff girls because she was simple and easy to do. I like my finished product but i think that I could of done better her head was a bit circular that oval and her skin colour was a bit dark.

 

Kupe Animation

For this Task we had to make a Video, Animation or play about one of the first people to NZ. We could choose out of, Abel Tasman, Captain Cook or Kupe, we could also choose a partner or a group of 3, my partner was Lily. We chose to do a stop go animation on google slides. to make this animation work you have to hold down the right arrow key. to make this we had used 960 slides to make this! 

 All About Excellence

For This task we had to create a DLO ( Digital Learning Objective) to Explain what Excellence is and what it means to us. I did little facts all around my google drawing. I really enjoyed making this DLO.

The God I chose to Draw Anubis.

I chose Anubis because He looked the easiest to draw. 

Anubis is the Egyptian God of War. 

Anubis is Said to have taught the Ancient Egyptians how to Mummify.

Anubis is also one of the Most known Egyptian Gods.

It was originally thought that Anubis was the Son of Ra, the first Egyptian God but it has been proven that Anubis is the son of a much earlier God of War, Osiris.

For this activity we had to make a poem based on our happy place. I am pretty happy about how my poem turned out and I really enjoyed creating my poem.

For this activity Mrs P Challenged us to rewrite the legend of Kupe my partner was Kyah. I enjoyed this activity because me and Kyah made the slide look like a book. I also enjoyed using the Maori Patterns at the bottom and top of our slides.
