fun because I learnt something new.

The Latest news on Chapter chat is that we had to reaserch a Lizard,Scorpion or a snake. I chose snake because I know alot about snakes. and also I have a book on snakes. and it was really fun!

Persuasive Writing

Persuasive Writing
WALT: Create a Persuasive piece of Writing.  
The Kids that arrive at school before 8:30 should be allowed to hangout in the hall until the 8:30 bell rings.

Have you ever arrived at school before 8:30 and had to wait outside in the freezing cold until the bell rings at 8:30?

I think that the kids that arrive at school before 8:30 should be able to go and hangout in the hall until the 8:30 bell rings.

If the kids wait outside it could lead to some people getting hyperthermia which can lead to death. Also 1,301 people from America die of hyperthermia every year

Did you know that your skin can actually freeze in low temperatures because of being out in the cold for too long? And frostnip has the same method if you stand in the cold for too long you get frostnip.You usually get frostnip on your ears,nose,fingers,cheeks,chin and hands. Dr craig Warden says that you should not even attempt to walk on frost nipped feet.

Another reason that I think that we should be allowed to go in the school hall is that the teachers get to hang out in their offices and in their classrooms and be nice and warm and we have to wait outside in the freezing cold until the 8:30 bell rings.

In conclusion I believe that this is why kids should be allowed to go in the school hall to do fun activities with a teacher while waiting for the 8:30 bell rings to go into class.

This Week We Have been Studying The Book Fish in a Tree. 

It is about a girl Called Ally who has Dyslexia and she doesn't want anyone to know because she doesn't want people to think she is Dumb and stupid. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to make the poster and it was interesting to see what people with Dyslexia have to Deal with everyday.  

Waiho bridge Recount

This week Mrs clark gave us a task to write a recount about the waiho bridge falling down I personally enjoyed this activity.

Waiho Bridge Washes away!!!

The Waiho Bridge washed away on Tuesday 26th of March atb 5:30 pm  2019. The bridge washed away because of all the Torrential rain and the river being so high. The occurrence of the incident was totally unexpected. Now the bridge has to be rebuilt from scrap! The bridge is now currently closed. It happened when all the water got way too high and the water came up and pushed the concrete up. The tourists and some of the citizens are now stuck on either side of the bridge. people are working on the bridge and it may take a while to be rebuilt. People say that Haast is experiencing a one in a 100 year flood! Some schools are closed due to the bad weather. Some parts of Westland have up to 800mm of Rain now that's a lot of rain!! Strong winds are also battering the region with gusts up to 180 kph some Schools are closed and campgrounds have been evacuated. The  road from the town all the
